and, with caveats…

This is a list of books that we have chosen to include in our lives because they have some outstanding element (or my own childhood nostalgia) working for them, even though they don’t fit all the criteria of the site as a whole. It seemed to me that this category should be included, otherwise there would be some books that have a few issues that end up being omitted from the site entirely, even though they hold a special place in our lives, and other parents may wish to check these out and make the edits as they see fit. But, most of the books included here need SO MANY edits that it is not possible to mention all of them in the concise descriptions being provided. In order to keep up with this site, at the rate my child (2yo at time of writing) devours new books, I am forcing myself to be fairly concise with each book description!
